bikin'

Things have moved pretty quickly for me in the last three weeks. It wasn't too long ago (3.5 weeks to be exact) that I was still doing indoor 45 min spin classes. Then it was eating two snickers bars and a coke to make it home on a 3 1/2 hr ride. Yesterday, I raced a 120km Ontario Cup road race as a Cat 1.

Nick and I have both been generously given spots on the Espoirs Laval elite team for the 2005 season. It should be interesting. They have a real good mix of young riders and some older guys (like me). Our first trip with the team was a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to doing some more races.

That's not my bike. I borrowed one for the race. (ya, that is a race-radio hanging out of my ear)

The race in Ontario actually didn't go too bad. I suffered pretty good and finished somewhere in the main bunch. It was a pretty tough course (30 laps of a 4km auto racing circuit with a climb each lap). Other than biking I have been forgetting about school. Two more weeks and exams are done.

So they just have 60cm frames kicking around, eh? You get to borrow it all summer?

No comment on Nick's pecs (who wrote that?).
